Animal photography workshop
ZOOM adventure world, Gelsenkirchen
On the approximately 30 hectare facility, which has received numerous awards, the ZOOM adventure world offers an adventure trip that is second to none with around 900 animals and 100 species. On the approximately 6 km circular trails, which are divided into three main areas (Asia, Africa and Alaska), we have the opportunity to admire and understand the animals in their "natural" environment.
Alaska
In Alaska we encounter sea lions, brown bears, snowy owls and polar bears, which in North Rhine-Westphalia can only be admired here in the ZOOM adventure world. One of the many highlights is the glass tunnel that runs under the sea lion enclosure.
Photographically we find out here, among other things,
how aperture, shutter speed and ISO work,
how to “address” the animals,
to understand their behavior, to get an idea of when the opportunity for a beautiful picture arises.
Africa
Africa, with its 400 animals and a landscape divided into 4 parts over 14ha,
offers the opportunity to see around 41 species of animals including giraffes, chimpanzees, lions and many other animal species
to meet and here among other things
Natural image compositions,
Dealing with reflections
and
disruptive elements such as fences, etc.
to train.
Asien
In Asia we enter a landscape of bamboo forest and steppe grass that is home to Sumatran orangutans, dwarf otters and small panadas. With 3,600 plants, reptiles and flying foxes as well as birds,
we have the possibilities
natural image compositions,
work with aperture and shutter speeds
to practice and enjoy the beauty.
Breaks, which take place as required, can be spent in one of the bars or restaurants to discuss our further adventures.
